"We decided to sell our house in Oregon and look for a new house in Stoughton Spring of 2017. The market in Stoughton was crazy when we started looking as we bid over asking price for 3 houses and didn't get an accepted offer on any of them. We looked at everything from new construction to a house built in 1906. At each house visit our agent Chris pointed out the things that would make the house more livable as well as things we should consider that might eventually require addition funding. Throughout the process he was willing to share his thoughts on pricing and helped us to form what we felt were great offers. A couple times he was unavailable for a showing and he had one of his co-workers step in to help out. He even helped us with our offer on our new house on vacation. He and everyone we met at MHB were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Eventually after 5 months and over 25 houses we found our house and were able to make an offer and get it accepted within hours of it going on sale. That was the hard part. On the sale side we'd been in our house over 18 years and really didn't have a good idea what we should do to get our house ready to sell. Chris came to our house in Oregon in May and looked things over and gave us helpful hints on what we needed to do and things he felt would make the house more sellable. He also gave us a price range for our house so we knew what kind of money we could expect from that sale. We ended up selling just below where he thought we would be. We put out house on the market in early September and within 6 weeks had an accepted offer. The value of going with MHB really hit me when we were closing and there on the summary was the difference in fees for MHB at $2500 and the other realtor above $9000. My wife and I were very happy with every aspect of the sale of our existing home and the purchase of our new home. Great job Chris and the rest of the folks at MHB!"Jim & Shaun – Stoughton
The idea
Valuable service at a fair price.
Realtor or FSBO? Lets boil this down: An experienced Realtor brings value to the process of selling a home and is more effective than FSBO at getting the house sold - but the commission paid offsets much of that value. FSBO leaves sellers feeling lost and/or short on time and is less effective, but FSBO is cheap.
Our big idea; give homeowners the best of both worlds - service, advice, marketing, and expertise like you'd get from the best realtor in town, all at an amazing rate of just $2,500, no matter the sale price of the home.
